Lottery Macs for Students

Lottery Mac Program CLOSED for 2011-12

Feel free to apply, just know that you'll be put on the waiting list.  If a current lottery mac user leaves the college you might get lucky and have their computer assigned to you.  No guarantees.

The Deal

For a non-refundable $50 fee, you can borrow a Macintosh Laptop for the duration of the academic year or until you graduate, whichever happens first. Each Macbook computer comes with MS Office, Thunderbird (mail), Firefox (web), Norton Antivirus and other software. The laptops also have built in Airport Extreme Wireless, ethernet, CD/CD-R/DVD drive, 4G RAM, and 250GB hard drive, all safely tucked into a carrying case.

The Rules

To be eligible for a Lottery Mac, you must either be a thesising senior, or a student currently on financial aid.  Also, so that we can make these computers available to those most in need, students who already own a working computer are not eligible to enter the lottery.

Still interested?  You'll need to complete a Lottery Mac Application before Noon on Thursday September 8th 2011.

We hope to notify winners and have computers available to pickup by Tuesday September 13th 2011.

If you are a winner, you must come up with the $50 fee. You will get to sign an Equipment Loan Contract that basically states you’ll be good to the computer and will return it on time and in good working order.
